Facebook 'is', no more
FACEBOOK users have reported an unprecedented level of freedom while updating their status — they no longer have to begin sentences with the mandatory word "is".
There has still been no official announcement from the social networking company, but it seems that all users have now escaped the restrictive two letters over the past month.
Only some users were freed from the "is" in late November, but a quick check of the social networking site today reveals widespread freedom from the present tense.
Facebook users can let other people know what they are doing by updating their status through the website, with an alert sent out to everyone on their friends list.
Traditionally status updates have been preceded by a mandatory "is", leaving users to become creative while trying to escape from grammatically-incorrect sentences.
